when the night, so scarlet thrives
wrought from such wishful contempt
sacrifice, o' sacrament
this fragmenting glimpse is all I dare to lament

as the embers fade
into the night
in the dark we are granted the light
of the aeons we've lost from where we stand

on the brink of aeons collapse
will we find
that these saccharine lies
rest heavy as petals on the grave
this opulent torture we wear
with all the grace of spiders silk
cherished binds will absolve us of anima's pride
ascending from god to empty shell
finally, we may rest

as the darkness spreads shrouding the skies
in the whites of our bloodshot eyes
lie the fragments of what and where we stand

we will know not where we lie
these forgotten tombs will suffice
a sepulchre from which we shall witness
the echelons crumble to dust
preceptors are torn from their litany
infinity slips in to to obscurity
consigning our nothing to oblivion
just like all of those before
